We took the 'signature' bus trip yet again up to Grant Park and got the South bus tour.
We went up to the area around Hard Rock cafe and had lunch at Portillo's which was phenomenal value. I had the Italian beef and Maurice had hot dog. We visited the Hard Rock Cafe and bought a few souvenirs there before heading back into town. Maurice then went off to seek out the guitar shop while I picked up my book and headed for the park next to Navy Pier. I just sat and chilled with my book in the sun – bliss.
In the evening we went to the ‘longest bar’ and had a few cocktails – it was pretty special – a really lovely hotel – the Hyatt. We wandered back over to Timmy’s for the usual to finish off the evening.
